Refilling vs Compatible Cartridges: Which is Safe?

Original HP/Canon cartridges are expensive (₹4,000+). Most users in Hyderabad switch to cheaper alternatives. But which one is better?

1. Refilling (₹350 - ₹500)

Pros: Cheapest option.
Cons: If done poorly (roadside shops), loose powder leaks inside the printer, damaging the fuser unit.

Our Advice: Only refill from experts who clean the drum and waste bin properly.

2. Compatible Cartridges (First Quality)

These are brand new "copy" cartridges. They cost around ₹800 - ₹1200.
Pros: New drum, sharp print quality, no leakage risk like bad refills.
Cons: slightly more expensive than refilling.

Winner?

If your drum is worn out (light prints), buy a new Compatible Cartridge. If your cartridge is fresh (only 1st cycle), Refilling is fine.
